Constant/programmable current sources - the affordable alternative to bench PSUs
The current sources work in the range of 40-100% of the nominal output current with a precision better than 0.5% and thus provide a cost effective alternative to bench power supply units.
This concept has proven e.g. for xenon short-arc lamps or mercury vapour lamps. Extended concepts from 700 W with µC sequence control and I²C bus control can be provided. All converters can also be programmed with an external analogue voltage of 0-5 V / 0-10 V (voltage and current).
